What the 2nd season of MLP:FIM needs to be even better than the first.

I finished the first season of Friendship is Magic a few days ago, and I've been thinking about what would make season two even better.

#1. Give Princess Luna some appearances

It's okay, at least you're good at hide and seek

Lauren Faust, the executive producer of FiM, announced on Twitter that Luna would not make an appearance in season one. What's to say she won't be in season two? We barely know anything about the character, so this leads to some interesting stories. But why wasn't she in season one? D:

#2. Have a bigger focus on the male ponies

Eee-yup

So far, Big Macintosh has had the biggest role as a male in FiM except for Braeburn, but that was in Appleloossa, not PonyVille. It's apparent that male ponies do exist in the new show, but I'm just asking that they have a bigger role than just background roles.

#3. More awesome songs

The songs in season ones were some of the best I've ever heard in a childrens cartoon. They're not to forceful, they don't drag on, and most of all, they're catchy, fun, and just overall good songs. I'd love to see more of this in season 2, but not too much, or it'll end up like Phineas and Ferb. Sure, Pinkie Pie started a war in song, but it was an entertaining performance.

#4. Keep the Cutie Mark Crusaders episodes coming

CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS!!!!!!11!!!!!!1!!!!1...!!

I. Love. The Cutie Mark Crusaders. The episodes are some of my favorites. Even their theme song holds a place in my heart as a great song. I can't wait to see what humorous antics these fillies get into next season.

#5. More ~~Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity~~ EVERYBODY being awesome

You've got to admit, Pinkie Pie was sort of a badass. As well as Rainbow Dash, and pretty much everyone else in some way. More of this, is what I want.

Hey all. Well, I wrote a book. It's about a tree. It's meant for children. I'm interested in getting it published, but I still need an illustrator, and and editor. So, it's unedited. So, um, yeah.... just read it.

The Tree

The sun gleamed through the branches of the forest. The flowers waved and greeted their bright friend. The owls up top of the trees made one last peep before stepping to their nests, deserving a nice, long rest…

And in the middle of this change, is the lush pine tree. He felt the flowers at his feet awake and greeting the sun. He felt the owls get ready for sleep up in his branches.

He remained untouched throughout the rising and setting of the warm light. The tree had been there for years, from when he was just a tiny seed, until he was towering over everything in the forest. He had stayed in the same spot for his whole life. Through every snowstorm, to every forest fire in the distance, he was truly stationary.

The tree had grown tired of this. His lifelong dream was to be free, like the birds from above, to the squirrels that nested inside him. Even the flowers got around. Every day, he would try to pry himself from the rich soil, but to no avail. The tree wanted to go out and see the world. Whenever the leaves would blow in during the fall, they would tell wondrous stories from lands far away. The tree loved the leaves’ tales, and wanted very much to see to see if they’re true. But he just couldn’t.

The tree expected the leaves to fly in today. There was a nice steady breeze this mid-October day. The tree waited… and waited… and waited. The tree was about to give up, when, alas! A swarm of leaves blew in. The tree shouted towards his crispy golden friends. Though the tales they would tell were not the wonderful ones…

“Lumberjacks are coming! They’re gathering all their axes and chainsaws to get firewood for the winter!” Then they flew away.

The leaves told no other tales that fateful day, and the tree didn’t wish to either. The tree panicked! He wanted to escape before he would be cut down and burnt just for warmth. The tree shook and shook to try to escape, but he just couldn’t…

But the tree wouldn’t give up. He kept trying and trying, but he gave up just as he heard a car door slam. He was going to be chopped down.

There were the sounds of crushed leaves and stomped grass. They slowly got louder and louder, until the men stopped right at the base of the tree.

“This looks like a good one. C’mon boys! We’ve got work to do!” They sharpened their saws and oiled the chains, and were about to start. When suddenly…

“Wait! Don’t cut down that tree!” yelled a rich old man. The lumberjacks just stood there. The rich man stopped for a second to catch his breath, and then exclaimed, “This tree is a special kind of wood. It doesn’t burn!”

The men walked off to discuss this matter. They finally decided on an agreement. The tree stood there, waiting for his fate. But as they struck into it, the tree felt nothing! The tree’s soul could see what every piece was doing. The tree was used in boats, paper, tables, skis and many other products. The tree had finally gotten out of where he had lived, and was seeing the world. The tree was seeing the deep, blue oceans. He was seeing the tall, snowy mountains. He was seeing the whole world. The tree’s dream had come true.

VVVVVV: A review by Xkhaoz

VVVVVV starts out with your crew on a ship, flying trough space. But then, something malfunctions, and that sends you on one of the best indie journeys I've experienced in a long time.

VVVVVV has a unique twist. You can't jump, but you instead can alter your gravitational pull. While you may think, "Wow, with this ability, this games going to be easy!" Well, you're wrong. VVVVVV has some of the toughest, teeth-griding-est, hair-pulling-outing-est puzzles I've ever seen. The game even packs-in a death counter. But luckily, the developer included many, many checkpoints, so you never have to re-do a puzzle. And it just feels satisfyingly great when you finally figure out a puzzle you've been working on forever.

VVVVVV has a unique style of graphics, reminiscent of Commodore 64 games. It really gives you the feel of travelling through a mysterious realm somewhere in space. And the music is great. You'll be humming these days in and days out.

VVVVVV's presentation is nice. The menus are nice and clean. And if you need help of a specific room, each one has it's own title. The titles of room can give you a laugh even when you've been yelling at your computer for a half hour straight.

The lasting appeal for VVVVVV is great. You have to journey through five levels searching for five of your crew members. And if that's not enough for you, there are also twenty trinkets hidden throughout . And trust me, these can be a living hell. The trinkets are placed in some of the hardest rooms in the game. And even if five crew members and twenty trinkets aren't enough for you, VVVVVV also has time trials and extra modes. You'll be playing this one for awhile.

VVVVVV is just on of the best indie titles I've ever played. And at only $5 on Steam, with a demo, what's keeping you from playing the wonderful masterpiece that is VVVVVV? Seriously, go buy it.

The Battlefront series- why not on Gamecube?

Okay, yes, I know I haven't added to the 100 games thing, but I've been very busy. I've been working down at my mom's print shop. $2 an hour for shredding paper. Do you make that much? I don't think so. Okay, now, I'm here to discuss a topic that's been bugging me for a bit. Why wasn't a single Star Wars: Battlefront game released on Gamecube? At first, I thought it was because the Battlefront series is really about online multiplayer, but then I remembered, the GC did online. And maybe if they had a really cool and popular online game on Gamecube, it would of been way better :P. Then I considered maybe there was a storage issue or something. According to Wikipedia, a GC game disc is 1.5 GB. This is way smaller than PS2 discs and Xbox discs. They were 8.5 GBs on average. According to Wikipedia, the PC version of Battlefront II is 1.67 GBs, but I'm sure that they could of done some compressing or stuff. So, really, why didn't they make a Battlefront game for GC? I mean, it would of worked. Now, really, why didn't they? Nowadays, I really wish they would at least port it to Wii. I mean, it would work. Heck, they could probably put both of them on a Wii disc. And with online multiplayer, it'd be perfect. Basically, I just want a new Battlefront game. Let it be III, a remake, a port, or something along the lines like Renegade or Elite Squadron. A port would probably be best. Just don't mess with anything, and it'll be good.

Review: Paper Airplane Chase

Gameplay: The game is simple. You pilot a paper plane, like the ones you got detention for making in math class while the teachers explains dividing fractions. You use the left and right buttons on the D-pad to move and dodge obsticals. You can do this is three modes: Endless, Timed, and Race. In Endless, you try and go as long as you can without crashing. This can be VERY addicting. In Timed, you get 9 stages where you try and get to the end in the least time.This provides some good fun, but doesn't last very long. In Race, you and a friend/enemy/classmate/some-random-guy-on-the-bus can try and get to the end before the other. You do this using only one DSi.You can race on any of the timed stages. This is a very nice option.

Graphics and Sound: The game looks nice and basic. Not flashy, but it gets the job done. The sound is also good. The music that plays in the background kinda sounds depressing, though. I have no idea why that is.

Presentation: Menus are basic and nice. Not much to say.

Overall: For only 200 Nintendo Points, this is a great download. Not the most robust offering, but nice fun.

Well, I have recently been reading web comics, such as Lil Formers and Brawl in the Family, so, I have decided to start my own web comic!!!! It'll just parody random things, taking the afformented comics for inspiration. My previous things were animations, so comics should be easier. So, this blog isn't dead yet!!! I'll put the comic on here when it's done, so, you can't really expect a release date for them, but expect at least one a week. So, yeah. Look forward to them.

KAR Strategies

Here's some strategies for some events in City Trial:

U.F.O.: Use the volcano to fly up to the City in the Sky. Wait until it comes under it. Then jump on and get items.

Castle Secret Chamber: When the secret chamber opens up in the castle, ride the rails to it and get a lot of items.

Big Pillar: if you can't find it, look on the buildings, them just boost and spin into it to get items.

Fake items: you should be able to tell the diference easilly.

Rowdy Energy Take: This event doesn't take too long. Just be carefull so that you don't run into hazards.

Dyana Blade: Dyana is usualy near a ramp. But try to use fireworks, spinys, bombs, and other items like that to damage it.

Tac Challenge: He it always underground. just ram into him to get the items.

Meteors: Just avoid them. And they have shadows so you have no excuse to be hit except for the after shock.

Flaming Rail Stations: Just don't ride the rails.

All boxes, same items: Just hope it's a good item.

Here's some legendary part find strategies:

*You can find them usually in the underground, in the eletric lounge and by the sea.

*If you can't find the last part, try attacking some others.

I will put up reviews of some video games, movies shows, and other things. So here is the first:

Review: Birds & Beans (DSiWare)
I have to say, many people dismiss this game as a quick cash-in minigame. But for only 200 points, it's quite good.

Presentation: There's not much presentation here. Just a little menu with the two modes and options and to go back to the DSi menu. Ah well, it's quick for when you want a quick fix.

Gameplay: there's not much gameplay in Birds & Beans, but it gets it right. You simply move around your bird named Pyro around left and right trying to catch falling beans with your super-extendable-elastic-tounge!TM!!! It's actually quite fun, trying to eat them while dodging them on your diminishing floor. It's also great that they throw in a whole second version! Intsead of eating the beans you blow at them and try to break them. It's still pretty much the same, but still fun.
Beans Catching Awesomness!Graphics and sound: The game doesn't look great, but it doesn't look bad either. Lust basic GBA graphics, but isn't bad. As for the sound, it's actually quite good. It really sets the mood and speeds up with the intensity.

Lasting appeal: You will always try and beat your high score. It really makes it last. And you can show off your high score on a forum.

Conclusion: Birds and Beans is a great game for 200 points. I recomend getting it after buying Might Flip Champs.
